SUMMARY: Under general direction from the Controller, this position maintains the Company’s business licenses and annual reports and assists with the Company’s accounts payable systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain database of all required business licenses and timing of expirations
- Obtain and renew business licenses as required
- File Annual Reports
- Review Property Leases for escalations, terminations, deposits, etc.
- Assist Accounts Payable department with vendor statement review
- Set up vendors in the accounting systems and maintain necessary COIs for vendors
- Provide direct customer service for each district.
- Responsible for assisting with a variety of projects as directed by Controller.
Must have the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines while balancing competing demands. Must be well organized, a general understanding of basic accounting is required. Ability to handle detailed financial information confidentially. Ability to use experience and knowledge to identify ways to improve systems and processes internally. Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma and 2 years’ work experience or equivalent combination of training, education and experience. Associates/BA/BS is a plus.
Prior accounting software experience preferred. Timberline experiences is a plus. Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel and Access.
Ability to speak and write clearly.
Strong mathematical skills.
A valid drivers license is required.
