Job Description


Large fire alarm systems project knowledge is needed for this position.

Notifier and Nicet certified technicians welcome to apply. HRSS is seeking a skilled senior level field technician to work with contractors in commissioning, programming and testing mid-range to large systems. This involves complete detection and audio systems. An Associates in electronics is helpful and must be comfortable with a volt meter and laptop for upload, download functions.

This is a full-time position with overtime opportunities and on-call funding. A vehicle, cell phone and laptop will be provided.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to maintain, repair, and install conventional and addressable fire alarm, security, nurse call, intercom, CCTV Systems and other related building systems products.
Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics and operation/product manuals.
Install, service & troubleshoot several different fire alarm and security systems, understand how to split a circuit to effectively troubleshoot ground faults.
Exhibit effective customer service ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
Follow troubleshooting guidelines and refer to technical/parts manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. in order to diagnose & repair equipment or systems. All work performed, whenever possible, should be reviewed with the customer.
Be familiar with local codes.
Maintain accurate truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
Responsible for clearly filling out work tickets.

Experience:

Fire Alarm: 3 years (Preferred)
Alarm Technician: 3 years (Preferred)
