A-1 National Fire Co a member of Summit Companies is a premier firm in the Fire Protection and Fire Life Safety industry. We are currently seeking a Pre-Engineered Service/ Installation Technician to join our team in our Houston, TX office.

The successful candidate will be dependable and a mechanically inclined individual to service systems in the fire protection industry.


Service, maintenance, repair and installation of pre-engineered fire suppression systems, portable fire extinguishers, exit/emergency lights and additional fire protection / life safety equipment as skills develop. Previous experience in pre-engineered fire systems is a plus.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Mechanical skills including use of hand and power tools
Physical ability to lift 75 pounds, work overhead and on ladders, climb/maneuver
Ability to accurately complete electronic forms/documents
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to travel
Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, nights and weekends
Ability to work independently, with a team and report to management
Flexibility to work rotating on-call schedule
Ability to communicate professionally and technically with customers
Ability to sell new account services to existing and new customers on route
Ability to maintain quotas as set forth my management
Ability to meet deadlines.
Existing knowledge or acquire knowledge related to industry fire and construction codes
Clean driving record
