Job: Fire Alarm & Security Installation Technician, Summit Fire & Protection, St. Paul, MN
Summit Companies is a premier firm in the Fire Protection and Fire Life Safety industry with offices throughout the Midwest. We are currently seeking a Fire Alarm & Security Installer/Technician to join our team in our St. Paul office.
The successful technician will have low voltage experience in commercial environments ranging from new construction to office environments/remodels to data centers & industrial sites. The preferred candidate will thrive in a team environment while also being able to work well independently, think creatively, and have excellent problem-solving skills. We are looking for career minded candidates who are willing to learn and grow with the company long term.Technicians will also assist in service, installations, testing and inspections of various systems as needed.
Minimum of 6 month low voltage work experience comfortable in commercial environments, installing cable and device terminations for fire alarm systems, clean agent suppression systems, security systems, access control systems & camera systems.
Knowledge of one of our product groups (Notifier, Siemens, Kidde, Bosch & Potter).
General Knowledge of Fire Alarm & Security is preferred.
MN PLT or Reg Unlicensed PLT preferred (required to have Reg Unlicensed PLT before working in the field by state law)
Ability to think logically and troubleshoot technical issues.
Ability to work well independently as well as a team player.
Must have valid Driver's License and a good driving record.
Must be able to pass a background check and a drug screen.
